About this wine
Grapes
The blend consists mainly of Corvina and Rondinella, with a small proportion of slightly dried Corvina grapes. The dried fruit has concentrated sugar and glycerin.
Vinification
The slightly dried Corvina is added to the blend using a method locally known as refermentation. Its concentrated sugar and glycerin initiate an immediate secondary fermentation lasting 12–15 days. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
The wine matures in small French and Slovenian oak barrels, followed by a further six months in bottle.
