Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown on sun-warmed hills in the province of Verona.
Vinification
The organic wine is handcrafted. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness during the cool morning hours and taken directly to the winery. The wine is left unfiltered and settles naturally under gravity.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif and with Mediterranean or vegetarian dishes, salami and cheeses.
Vintage notes
The 2020 growing season in Veneto began slightly earlier than usual, without problems during flowering or fruit set. From March through July, moderate temperatures and ideal rainfall provided favourable conditions. Temperatures increased in July and early August, after which intense summer storms crossed the Valpolicella plains. Heavy rain and light hail caused occasional problems but no lasting damage. The grapes were healthy and of good quality, with normal sugar levels consistent with previous years.
