About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from suitable vineyards in the Trevenezie area, including some in the "Stra-del-Milione" estate.

Grapes

Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio make up the wine, with a small amount of other white varieties.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested in stages so that each variety is processed at its ideal ripeness. After gentle maceration, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at 16–18 °C for 20 days.

Ageing

The wine rests for three months in large Slavonian casks, followed by a short period of bottle ageing that rounds out its texture. It can be enjoyed on release or kept for several years.

Tasting profile

Light, elegant and semi-dry, with a sense of freshness and balance. It is gentle and relaxed, and does not take attention from the main dishes at dinner.

Label / history

The Stra-del-Milione estate takes its name from the road Marco Polo travelled in the 13th century on his journeys of exploration and trade, a route known at the time to lead east.
