About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The wine combines Glera with Pinot Noir. The Pinot Noir comes from a single vineyard reflecting the Dal Bianco family’s established cultivation of the variety. Pinot Noir is harvested in late August, followed by Glera in early September.
Grapes
Glera and Pinot Noir; the proportions are not specified.
Vinification
Glera is vinified as a white wine at 14–18°C. Pinot Noir receives a brief 24–36-hour pre-fermentation maceration at 8–10°C before red vinification at 20–23°C. The two base wines are then blended. Secondary fermentation takes place on selected yeasts at 13–14°C for at least 90 days. Bottle pressure is 5.0 atm.
Ageing
The wine matures on selected yeasts for at least 90 days during secondary fermentation, followed by one month in bottle before release.
