About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow at Acate, where the climate is warm and the soils distinctive. These conditions help the fruit develop a rich, generous character.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and gently pressed. The must settles naturally, which removes larger particles and sediment without aggressive filtration. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel for 13 days at a controlled temperature, so that the aromas develop gently and keep their natural character. The whole process is closely monitored to limit aroma loss and oxidation.
Serving and pairing
The wine is versatile and pairs easily with international dishes. It can also be enjoyed on its own.
Vintage notes
The description covers the 2024 vintage but gives no weather details.
Label / history
"Anterra" means "ancient land" in Italian. The name of this new Mezzacorona range pays tribute to the long winemaking history of the Italian peninsula. The creators draw on knowledge passed down by earlier generations, and the wines combine experience, tradition and modern technology. The range is single-varietal. It is produced by Nosio Spa, which oversees the bottling of still wines and the production of Rotari sparkling wines. Nosio Spa also manages the marketing of the Mezzacorona Group in more than 60 countries and owns two estates in Sicily. Mezzacorona Spa holds 61% of Nosio's shares. The other 39% is divided among almost 500 shareholders. Nosio Spa owns Prestige Wine Imports Corp. in New York and Bavaria Wein Import Gmbh in Munich.
