About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay is grown on the hills of Asti, in an area recognized by UNESCO. Cuvage manages 200 ha of vineyards, whose soils comprise clay, carbonate, marl and white limestone. Integrated pest management is practised, and bunches are selected for sparkling-wine production.
Vinification
Following harvest, the wine undergoes slow fermentation in the bottle at a controlled temperature of 13–14 °C.
Ageing
It remains on the lees for at least 24 months.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif.
Label / history
Cuvage was founded in 2011 in Acqui Terme, in the province of Alessandria. Its name combines “Cuvée” and “Perlage.”
