About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from carefully selected vineyard plots. The vines carry significantly fewer buds than average, and are tended by hand and nourished naturally.
Vinification
Pre-selected bunches are harvested entirely by hand at optimum ripeness at the end of September. Vinification is monitored daily.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in 25 hl Slavonian oak casks and 225 L French oak barriques before preparation for bottling.
Tasting profile
Bright in appearance, with an enticing aroma and an expressive, elegant flavour. The wine is elegant and well structured.
Label / history
The name “Monviert” evokes the crunch of ripe grapes when tasted. The wine has also acquired the name “Primal Red.”
