About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in Monferrato at approximately 300 metres above sea level. Their limestone and clay soils contain streaks of sand, and the vines average 25 years of age.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness. Traditional vinification includes regular pump-overs and three weeks of skin contact.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in small oak barrels, followed by at least six months of rest in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
