About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate-owned vineyard lies in Nizza, at 300 metres above sea level. The area has one of the warmest microclimates in the Asti region. The vines grow in clay and sandy soils containing limestone-rich marl of marine origin.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand during the first half of October. They are pressed immediately at the winery and fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine ages for 30 months in 25-hectolitre French oak casks. It is bottled without filtration and undergoes further maturation in bottle.
