The Padelletti family has been present in Montalcino since 1300. Its connection with the town has continued across 27 generations, united by viticulture.
Documented winegrowing from 1571
The family’s activity as winegrowers is documented from at least 1571. This long continuity places viticulture at the centre of the family’s history in Montalcino.
The historic cellar
Successive generations made wine in the family’s old cellar in the centre of Montalcino. Located directly beneath the family home, it retains an ancient character and is presented as the only winery cellar situated in the centre of the town.
The wine shop
Padelletti subsequently opened a dedicated wine shop in Montalcino for the purchase and tasting of the estate’s products, alongside a selection of other wines from the commune.

Production is associated with an old cellar in the centre of Montalcino, directly beneath the Padelletti family home. Generations of family winegrowers have worked within these historic rooms, maintaining a traditional orientation in the wines.
Philosophy
Padelletti’s philosophy combines respect for tradition with attention to innovation, with the objective of attaining high quality standards. Brunello is conceived as a small-production wine for knowledgeable wine enthusiasts. The historic cellar and the continuity of family viticulture across 27 generations provide the practical setting for this traditional orientation.
