About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from plots in the Langhe leased by Giorgio Conterno in 2015. Some vines were 20 years old at the time, while others were considerably older.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand during the first half of September and immediately pressed as whole bunches. The must settles naturally through a cold static process, without fining agents or enzymes. The clarified must then ferments in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for approximately 15 days.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks and, for 30% of the volume, in French barriques, with frequent bâtonnage until the end of the following summer.
Tasting profile
Aromatic, smooth and substantial, with firm structure.
