About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vineyards in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba, in the province of Cuneo.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in late September. Fermentation and maceration take place in specially designed tanks to control colour extraction. The wine is separated from the skins after 7–8 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for around six months in wooden barrels, followed by a further six months in bottle before release. Bottling usually takes place in late spring.
