About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are in Sava and Manduria, in the province of Taranto.
Grapes
Primitivo is an ancient variety, cultivated since the time of the Phoenicians and Greeks.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at dawn, then crushed and fermented at a controlled temperature of 22–24 °C for 8–10 days.
Ageing
The wine rests for 5 months in stainless steel tanks, then a further 3 months in bottle.
Label / history
The wine won a silver medal at the International Wine Challenge. It received "Recommended" status at the International Wines and Spirits Competition and at the Decanter World Wine Awards.
