About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Zinfandel comes from 40-year-old vines trained in the ancient Alberello system, which naturally gives low yields and small, juicy berries with concentrated flavour.
Vinification
The grapes are picked in the cool morning hours to preserve freshness and bright aromas. At the winery they are destemmed and fermented at a controlled temperature of around 25 °C for 8–10 days. Maceration lasts 15–18 days.
Ageing
The wine spends 3 months in American oak barrels, followed by 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
Label / history
The Alberello training system is depicted on the label.
