About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the hills of Spessa di Cividale in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, on soils known as "ponca", a local mix of marl and sandstone. The soil retains moisture while draining well, which helps the vines develop evenly and yield grapes with a structured, expressive flavour. The wine is made from biodynamic viticulture.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel tanks at 27–30 °C. Skin contact during fermentation extracts colour, aromas and tannins.
Ageing
The wine ages in stainless steel for 8 months to a year, which preserves its clean fruit character and highlights the grape's freshness and natural vibrancy.
Tasting profile
Fresh and straightforward in style. Ripe dark berries with herbal and spicy notes, lively acidity and a well-defined structure.
Serving and pairing
Suited to lean meat, grilled vegetables, and fresh or medium-aged cow's-milk cheeses.
Label / history
The orange flower on the label is the symbol of this range. The drawing was given to Paolo Rodaro by Melissa, the young daughter of visitors to the winery, who said it was the strongest flower in the world and could grow through asphalt. It reflects the estate's philosophy of the vitality of nature, sincerity and respect for the land.
