About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The wine comes from the single Pianpolvere Soprano Bussia vineyard in Monforte d’Alba. The Migliorini family acquired this historic site in 1998. Rodolfo Migliorini subsequently assumed direct responsibility for cultivating and vinifying its grapes, introducing integrated, sustainable vineyard practices intended to conserve natural resources and protect the surrounding hills.

Label / history

The Pianpolvere Soprano Bussia project began with the family’s purchase of the vineyard in 1998. Its name is shared by the vineyard and the wine. Barolo Pianpolvere Soprano Bussia D.O.C.G. is one of two Barolos made from this single site, alongside a Riserva produced only in selected years. The non-Riserva Barolo first entered the market in 2016.
