About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

A Puglian expression associated with earth in the Memoro Four Elements project. Its narrative connects the region’s coastlines, trulli and fertile agricultural valleys with the element of earth.

Grapes

Primitivo.

Vinification

The grapes undergo leggero appassimento, a light drying process.

Technical data

Primitivo Puglia IGT. The 2024 release has 14% alcohol and is offered in a 0.75 L bottle.

Tasting profile

Vibrant ruby red. The nose combines sun-ripened red berries with a hint of dried herbs. Ripe cherry and plum animate the palate, supported by subtle vanilla. The finish is smooth and the body medium, reflecting the light appassimento process.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 18–20 °C.

Label / history

Memoro originated in 2011 for the 150th anniversary of Italian unification as a blend joining four regions and grapes. The Four Elements project later separated that blend into individual wines: Primitivo from Puglia represents earth, while the other components correspond to fire, water and air.
