Vineyard and terroir
The Sangiovese comes from Montalcino. Villa al Cortile occupies the southern side of the appellation and has 12 hectares of vineyards extending between Montosoli and Lavacchio. Morning sunlight helps dispel the night's cold, encouraging finesse and depth in the fruit.

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. The 2021 wine has 14% alcohol and is offered in a 0.75 L bottle.
Tasting profile
An intense ruby-red wine with elegant garnet nuances. Cherry leads the fruity bouquet, complemented by clove and liquorice. The palate has a clearly defined tannic structure, with warm blackberry and raspberry flavours.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 18–20°C. Pair with feathered or furred game accompanied by mushroom-based side dishes, or with tagliolini and truffle.
