About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Pinocchio brings together fruit from three Italian regions: Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Puglia.

Grapes

Sangiovese from Tuscany, Sangiovese from Emilia-Romagna and Negroamaro.

Vinification

After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed. The must undergoes a short maceration on the skins, enhancing the ripe-fruit profile and roundness while retaining harmony and freshness.

Technical data

Rosso d’Italia, non-vintage. Alcohol is 13% vol., and the bottle size is 0.75 L.

Tasting profile

Intense red. Floral, complex Tuscan Sangiovese meets the freshness of Emilia-Romagna Sangiovese and the warm black-fruit character of Negroamaro. Citrus, spice and aromatic herbs introduce a bouquet of strawberry, blackberry and mixed berries with a floral vein. The palate is harmonious and fresh, leading to an enveloping finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18 °C. Its ripe red-fruit character suits aperitif service, finger foods, first courses, pizza, cured meats, hamburgers and Asian food.

Label / history

Inspired by Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio, the wine mirrors the wooden puppet’s cheerful, exuberant and genuine character. Its rounded bottle recalls traditional Tuscan flasks, connecting the Tuscan roots of both Pinocchio and the Piccini family.
