About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the namesake San Stunet vineyard.

Vinification

The must undergoes a 30-day maceration and spontaneous fermentation in oak vats.

Ageing

The wine matures for 18–24 months in large botti, followed by 6–12 months in bottle.

Tasting profile

Rich and deep, with complex aromas and a full structure. Firm tannins, excellent freshness and good acidity are joined by harmonious maturity, soft tannins and a long finish.

Vintage notes

The 2021 growing season in Piemonte began with a cold, snowy winter. A variable, wet spring brought occasional frosts and reduced yields. Summer remained hot and dry until the end of August, allowing the grapes to ripen fully while limiting the spread of fungal diseases. Nebbiolo was harvested in October after the heavy rains had passed. Volumes were lower than in other years, but grape quality was rated excellent, and the vintage was considered successful, with strong potential for further development in bottle.
