About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the La Rocca vineyard, near an old fortress known as “La rocca”. Most of the vines were planted between 1970 and 1980 on white clay soils rich in limestone. The terroir’s typically warm, sunny weather yields consistently ripe, full-flavoured grapes with a deep golden colour.
Vinification
The grapes remain on the vines until the end of October. After harvest, they are dried for one month, then fermented in small oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine matures for two years in small oak barrels, followed by six months in bottle.
Label / history
The La Rocca vineyard takes its name from the old fortress nearby.
