Vineyard and terroir

Selected Sangiovese comes from the estate’s best south-facing vineyards in Castelnuovo Berardenga, at 280–360 m. Yield is 5,000 kg/ha.

Grapes

Sangiovese.

Vinification

Fermentation lasts approximately 12 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, with frequent pump-overs. Before racking, the wine undergoes a further 10 days of skin maceration.

Ageing

Maturation takes place in French oak barrels for at least 24 months, followed by at least 3 months in bottle.

Technical data

Alcohol: 14% vol. Available in 0.75 l bottles and 1.5 l magnums.

Tasting profile

Bright, intense ruby red, with elegant and persistent aromas. The palate is harmonious and full-bodied, combining soft, well-integrated tannins with fresh character. The finish is long, balanced and refined.
