About this wine
Vinification
After harvest the grapes undergo a long maceration to extract as much colour and aroma as possible from the skins. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, which preserves the rich fruit profile of the grape.
Ageing
The wine is aged in oak barrels for around a year. This softens the tannins and adds deeper notes of spice and dark chocolate to the palate.
Tasting profile
Expressive, juicy and aromatic, with a deep colour and vibrant berry character. The nose and palate show generous ripe cherry, blackberry and dark plum, bringing warmth and a gentle fruity sweetness. Acidity is lively and the wine stays fresh. Ageing adds spice and dark chocolate, with softened tannins.
