About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are in southern Italy, on soils rich in red earth and limestone, and are exposed to sea winds.
Vinification
Primitivo and Susumaniello are vinified separately. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a carefully controlled temperature, which preserves the bright varietal character and freshness of the grapes.
Ageing
Depending on the winemaker's decision, the wine may spend a short time in oak barrels. This adds complexity and depth of texture without overpowering the natural fruit.
Tasting profile
Carefully balanced, with bright, fresh fruit. Any oak contact adds depth of texture.
Vintage notes
The 2023 vintage won gold medals at the Berlin Wine Trophy 2023 and at Mundus Vini 2023.
Label / history
"In Me" is a new brand from Poggio Le Volpi, focused on the grapes and wines of Puglia, particularly Negroamaro and Primitivo. It was created to give the winemaker's personal, more modern interpretation of these traditional grapes, bringing local traditions to an international audience.
