About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Rivus comes from 3.5 ha of vineyards at an average altitude of 350 m above sea level. The soils consist of galestro and alberese—marl and limestone. Planting density is 6,000 vines per hectare, trained to spur-pruned cordon at a height of 80 cm.
Grapes
80% Sangiovese and 20% Canaiolo.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 10 months in stainless-steel tanks.
Technical data
The stated production volume is 225 hL, corresponding to 30,000 bottles.
