About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from a separate vineyard called Priara, with alluvial, stony soils. Vines are planted at 5,000 per hectare. The Pradio estate lies in the central part of Grave del Friuli. The Cielo family uses modern vineyard methods, cutting yields significantly through heavy pruning and green harvesting.
Vinification
Harvest takes place in the first half of September. After careful selection and gentle pressing, the must is fermented with several types of high-quality yeast.
Ageing
The wine ages on the lees in stainless steel tanks, then rests at least 3 months in bottle. It can be kept for 2–3 years.
Tasting profile
Refreshing, with an expressive aroma and an elegant, long-lasting taste.
Label / history
Pradio mainly produces refined single-varietal wines that reflect the character of the terroir. Its chief winemaker is Beppe Basi, who has managed the estate for 10 years.
