Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vineyards in the coastal region of Alcamo, at elevations of 300–550 m.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in early September and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature to preserve Catarratto’s characteristic flavours.

Label / history
The estate’s name means “river of Allah” in Arabic. Tenuta Rapitalà was founded in 1971 by Count Bernard Hugonis della Gatiné, who rebuilt its cellars and winery after they were almost completely destroyed in the Belice Valley earthquake.
