About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from a vineyard in Gaiole, Chianti, at 350–400 metres above sea level. The site has a south-west exposure and soils composed mainly of limestone and sandstone.
Vinification
The 2019 grapes were harvested from 13 to 18 September. Fermentation took place at 24–27 °C, followed by 14–16 days of skin contact.
Ageing
The wine matured for 21 months in tonneaux and barriques, of which 30% were new.
Tasting profile
Energetic, powerful and generous, with mineral and spicy notes and a harmonious character.
