About this wine

Grapes

Malvasia del Chianti, identified as one of the area’s historic grape varieties, is used.

Vinification

The grapes remain on the vines until late in the harvest, allowing their sugar levels to rise. The bunches are then twisted into bundles, hung vertically and dried for around four months. After pressing, the juice ferments slowly.

Ageing

The wine matures for about four years in 225-litre oak barrels. The 2004 vintage was bottled in February 2004.

Label / history

Produced only in selected years and in limited quantities. Production of the 2004 vintage was 13,000 bottles. The wine is presented in a box.
