About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie at 230 m above sea level, with east–west exposure, Guyot training and a density of 5,500–6,000 vines per hectare. Recent alluvial deposits provide well-drained but fresh soils, helping the grapes retain acidity at full ripeness.
Grapes
The 2024 blend is 95% Sauvignon Blanc with a small proportion of aromatic white grapes.
Vinification
The fruit was hand-harvested into small crates in early September and placed in dehumidified rooms for about 15 days of assisted drying. The concentrated must fermented slowly for 30 days in stainless steel at approximately 14–15°C.
Ageing
Maturation took place in stainless-steel tanks.
Technical data
Alcohol: 12% vol. Total acidity: 6.08 g/L. pH: 3.45. Reducing sugar: 173.47 g/L. Net dry extract: 33.59 g/L.
Tasting profile
Yellow with golden highlights. The aromatic profile evokes ripe stone fruit and preserved or caramelised fruit. Sweetness and acidity are balanced on the palate, leading to a long, persistent finish and an aftertaste that reprises the wine’s complex aromas.
Vintage notes
A mild, rainy winter replenished water reserves. Spring temperatures were normal, with rainfall concentrated particularly in its first part. Temperatures rose sharply in early June and remained above 30°C through the largely dry summer. The accumulated winter reserves supported an even growing cycle and excellent ripening.
