Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay is grown in the municipalities of Capriolo and Iseo.
Vinification
The first fermentation takes place in oak barrels. In the following spring, the wine is bottled using the traditional Franciacorta method and undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle. Bottle pressure is limited to a maximum of 5.0 atmospheres, contributing to a refined, soft style. After disgorgement, a very dry dosage liqueur is added at 7 g/L.
Ageing
The base wine rests in oak barrels before bottling. It then ages in bottle for at least 40 months, for a total maturation of at least 48 months. After disgorgement and dosage, it rests in the cellar for several further months.
