About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Trebbiano and Malvasia fruit comes from Riecine’s historic vineyards in Gaiole in Chianti, which are certified organic and biodynamic.
Vinification
For the 2001 vintage, the grapes were harvested in December after reaching the desired acidity and selected on a sorting table. The must fermented naturally in barriques. The wine was bottled by gravity without filtration in August 2014.
Ageing
The wine matured in French barriques for more than 12 years.
Label / history
Sebastiano is produced only in the best years and in very limited quantities.
