About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Pálava grapes are grown in Venezia Giulia.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed, gently crushed and softly pressed in a pneumatic press. The must settles at low temperature for 24 hours, then ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine rests 8 months on the fine lees with regular bâtonnage, which adds roundness and a velvety texture and gives it good ageing potential. After bottling it matures a further 3 months in the winery's cellars.
Tasting profile
Elegant, with a round, velvety texture.
Serving and pairing
Suited to fish dishes, white meat and spicy food, and also recommended with French fries.
Vintage notes
2020: spring and summer brought favourable conditions, and several spells of intense heat in August did not affect the good yields. Harvest began in early September. The year's white wines show a complex varietal character and the distinctive personality typical of warm vintages.
Label / history
The 2022 Decanter World Wine Awards and Spring Tasting DB & SB competitions each awarded it a silver medal.
