About this wine

Grapes

60% Sangioveto, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot, selected from the estate’s finest fruit. The Merlot is drawn from the same grapes used to produce Baffonero.

Ageing

The wine matures for 24 months in French-oak barriques and a further 11 months in bottle.

Technical data

Maremma Toscana DOC. Vintage 2020. Production is limited to 3,000 individually numbered 750 ml bottles.

Tasting profile

Intense ruby red with garnet reflections. It combines power and intensity with elegance; soft tannins make the palate rounded. The nose is fruity and well spiced. Deep yet lively in the mouth, with good balance.

Label / history

Twenty years after Rocca di Frassinello’s first harvest, this limited edition commemorates the anniversary of the estate’s inaugural 2004 label. That original Rocca di Frassinello—conceived as the grand vin in the Bordeaux classification model—was the first expression of the estate’s Italian-French project.
