About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the area around San Lorenzo Hill, on the shore of Lake Garda in Veneto. The soils around the hill are varied, and grapes have been cultivated there by monks for centuries.
Grapes
The Cortese component is the Fernanda clone. The source also refers to Friulano by the name Tocai Friulano.
Vinification
Each variety is harvested separately when it reaches optimal ripeness. After sorting, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine rests in the same stainless-steel tanks used for fermentation.
Label / history
The Colle San Lorenzo brand, used by various Italian producers, takes its name from San Lorenzo Hill and the San Lorenzo monastery at its summit. Its logo combines the brand name with an arc representing the hill.
