About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from several traditional varieties grown in Roddi. The Pinot Nero is the exception: it is brought to the winery from Sinio.

Grapes

The proportion of Pinot Nero in the blend varies by vintage. It is the winemaker's favourite grape.

Vinification

Traditional fermentation takes place in stainless steel vessels.

Ageing

The wine spends 2 months in oak barrels, then a further 2 months in steel tanks. It is bottled just before Easter without prior filtration.

Tasting profile

Juicy and lively, with an expressive, rich bouquet and a delightful finish. Honest and straightforward, it is a table wine in essence, made for relaxed everyday drinking.

Label / history

"Nu" can be translated as "No". The blend is unusual for Gian Luca Colombo, who usually prefers single-variety wines. It comes in a 1-litre bottle, and the cork can be removed without a corkscrew.
