About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines were first planted in the late 1950s. The vineyard is now being replanted gradually in a cascading programme intended to preserve its original character. Its soil is rich in iron, clay and sand dating back to prehistoric times.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested both by hand and mechanically, with almost the entire harvest taking place in October. Fermentation lasts two weeks in stainless-steel vats.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in small French oak barrels, followed by 12 months in large oak casks. After bottling, it rests for a further 18 months in the winery’s cool, dark cellars before release.

Rich and stately, with soft tannins and a long, captivating finish marked by notes of wood.
