About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in Sardinia. Cannonau, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon come from Alghero, while Carignano is grown in Sulcis.
Vinification
Merlot and Carignano are harvested in late September, followed by fully ripe Cannonau and Cabernet Sauvignon in early October. The grapes undergo low-temperature maceration to deepen the colour, then ferment for 10 days at a controlled 25–28 °C. The varieties are blended before malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine spends eight months in barriques, 24 months in stainless-steel tanks and a further six months in bottle.
