About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Ribolla Gialla comes from a south-east-facing hillside vineyard in Friuli Colli Orientali, at approximately 180 metres above sea level. The marl-and-sandstone soils are planted at about 5,000 vines per hectare. The vineyard was established in 1998 and is trained using the Guyot system.

Grapes

100% Ribolla Gialla.

Tasting profile

Straw yellow with subtle green reflections. The elegant varietal nose combines citrus, spice and creamy notes. The palate is intense, full and crisp, with good acidic tension.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 8 °C. Suitable as an aperitif and with fish dishes.

Label / history

Ribolla Gialla is an ancient native variety of Friuli Venezia Giulia, cultivated for several centuries in the hills of Rosazzo, Collio and Slovenia’s Brda. It favours dry hillside soils, producing intense, structured wines whose defining qualities remain freshness and ease of drinking.
