About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Cannonau grows on rocky, naturally poor and infertile soils. Organic fertiliser is applied once a year. The low-fertility conditions restrict the vines to small yields of fruit with concentrated flavour.
Vinification
Produced only in the best vintages, Sincaru Riserva begins with hand-selected grapes. They undergo a long maceration in stainless-steel tanks, with regular pumping over and punching down to aid polyphenol extraction. Fermentation takes place in Slavonian oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine ages for 18 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by several months in concrete tanks and approximately six months of bottle rest.
Tasting profile
Powerful, with concentrated flavour and vibrant minerality.
