Fermented at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
Aged for four months in 10 hL barrels, followed by eight months in 50 hL barrels.
Label / history
The name derives from the ancient Latin word histrion, meaning “actor” or “comic”. The label depicts masks once worn by actors in ancient Roman theatre. Its creators conceived the wine as a move beyond their focus on a pure interpretation of Sangiovese.
