About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on gravel soils in the Isonzo del Friuli area. Organic vineyard methods are used to preserve the variety’s character.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand in the third week of September. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 21 °C. Puiatti ferments its wines only in steel, cement or ceramic tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks. Puiatti does not use oak barrels; across the range, ageing takes place only in steel, cement or ceramic vessels.
Tasting profile
The 2013 vintage is bright and clean, with a refined, elegant style.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif and with fish or seafood.
Label / history
Vittorio Puiatti and his son Giovanni approached winemaking from an environmental perspective as well as a commercial and personal one. Puiatti is now part of Tenimenti Angelini.
