About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from the area defined by the Langhe DOC production specification. The vineyards have calcareous-clay soils and vertically trellised, Guyot-pruned vines. Maximum yield is 9 tons/ha.

Grapes

100% Freisa.

Vinification

The crop is picked entirely by hand in early October. After destemming and crushing, alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled 24–26°C, with 4–5 days on the skins. Malolactic fermentation is completed.

Ageing

The wine matures for 3–4 months in stainless steel before bottling.

Technical data

Available vintage: 2024. Alcohol: 12.5% vol.

Tasting profile

Intense ruby red. The fragrant nose shows characteristic rose and raspberry notes. The palate is dry, well structured and notably drinkable.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18°C and drink without extended cellaring. Pair with pasta dishes, red or white meats—including grilled preparations—and fairly young soft cheeses.
