About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo comes from vineyards within the area defined by the Langhe DOC production specifications. Soils combine clay, limestone and sand. Vines are trained on vertical trellises and Guyot-pruned. Maximum yield is 100 quintals, equivalent to 10 tonnes, per hectare. Harvest is entirely manual and takes place during the third ten-day period of September.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Vinification
The grapes are crushed and destemmed, cooled, protected through saturation with inert gas, and pressed. Fermentation takes place for a few days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats at 15–17°C, with a final temperature of 21°C.
Ageing
The wine remains in stainless steel on its lees until bottling.
