About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the growing area established by the Langhe DOC production regulations. The soils are loamy, calcareous and siliceous, including combinations of these soil types. Vines are trained on vertical trellises and Guyot-pruned. The maximum permitted yield given for the wine is 10 tonnes of grapes per hectare.

Grapes

Arneis.

Vinification

Harvesting is entirely manual and takes place during the first half of September. After soft pressing, the must ferments for approximately 10–15 days at a controlled temperature of 16–18°C. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out.

Ageing

The wine matures for several months in stainless-steel tanks before bottling.

Technical data

Alcohol: 13% vol.

Tasting profile

Straw yellow in colour, with an intense yet delicate nose. The palate is fresh and dry.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 8–10°C with hors-d’oeuvres, starters, white meats or fish dishes. This fresh wine is at its best in the year following the vintage. Bottles should be stored horizontally in a cool, dry and dark place at a constant temperature.
