About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from Località Casetta.

Grapes

60% Sangiovese and 40% Merlot.

Vinification

Merlot is harvested at the end of September and Sangiovese in mid-October. After destemming, alcoholic fermentation and maceration take place in truncated-cone vats, followed by racking.

Ageing

The wine matures for 12 months, divided between stainless-steel tanks and French oak barriques and tonneaux. It then spends 6 months in tank and another 6 months in bottle.

Tasting profile

The nose has good intensity and persistence, with woody nuances integrated into the fruit character. The palate is firm, full-bodied and approachable. Clearly defined tannins remain balanced by the fruit, while the finish has good length.
