About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the Sant'Elena vineyard at Località Racciano.
Grapes
100% Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
Vinification
Harvest takes place at the end of September. Whole grapes are pressed on the day they are picked, after which the must undergoes cold static settling.
Ageing
The wine remains on its fine lees for 15–18 months in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks and then matures for another 4 months in bottle. The extended contact with fine lees contributes to its aromatic complexity.
Tasting profile
The nose is intense, broad and complex, combining white flowers and citrus fruit with the mineral character of Vernaccia. The palate is enveloping, savoury and concentrated, with an almond note on the finish.
