About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from Teruzzi’s vineyards in San Gimignano, in the heart of Tuscany, at approximately 350 m above sea level. The soils consist mainly of yellow sandstone and clay. The continental climate is influenced by the Tyrrhenian Sea. The vines are 15 years old on average.
Grapes
The grapes are selected before vinification.
Vinification
The grapes are generally harvested in mid-September at optimal ripeness. They undergo overnight cold maceration and are gently pressed on the following day. After low-temperature settling, the must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 °C.
Ageing
The wine remains on its lees in steel tanks for 4–5 months, followed by 3–4 months of rest in bottle.
Tasting profile
Bright and lively.
