About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie at 220–330 m on south- and southeast-facing slopes. The soils are chalky and gravelly, and the vines are 16 years old.
Vinification
Fermentation and maceration are followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in oak barriques, then for 6 months in large oak barrels, 30% of which are new. It rests for a further year in bottle.
Tasting profile
The Linticlarus wines are harmonious and elegant, with a distinctive character.
Label / history
The Linticlarus range is produced only in years when the vineyards yield an exceptional crop. Its name comes from Castrum Linticlar, a fortress built by the Romans whose ruins stand on land owned by the winery.
