About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie on limestone soils in the Chianti area.
Grapes
Sangiovese is blended with a small proportion of Canaiolo Nero.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, then sorted and gently pressed. Vinification includes 10–15 days of extended skin contact at a controlled temperature, with regular punch-downs to extract colour and tannins.
Ageing
The wine rests briefly in stainless-steel tanks.
Serving and pairing
Pairs with red meat, grilled meat, spicy meat dishes and cheeses.
